    浅谈小学英语说课

    说课是近几年来出现的一种教研活动。它是教师城乡流动、基本功大赛、新教师的分配等活动的必定项目之一。通过说课,教师可以使自身的教学研究水平得到提高,能更准确把握教材的重难点,促使教师迅速成长等。今年吴中区明确规定人人要有说课这一汇报活动,在吴中区小学英语教师培训活动中,苏主任明确规定了我们的英语说课一定要用英语,并邀请一位一线教师作了示范。用英语说课对我们全体英语老师来说是一次很好的锻炼,更是一次自身的提高。但是对于多数老师来说,到底用英语怎样说课,还不是十分清楚。下面谈谈我通过去年的说课比赛得到的一些想法。
    1、弄清“说课”的概念
    所谓说课,即授课教师在备课的基础上将一节课进行比较全面系统的讲述。它既要有一定的操作性,又要有一定的理论性,是比较科学化、理论化,涉及内容较多和层次较高的教研活动。包括说教材、说教法学法、说教学过程。
    2、说课内容的准备
    说课之前,说课者要先分析教学内容、分析教学对象,再去考虑如何制定教学目标,设计教学方案。
    3、说课的具体内容及方法
    这样英语说课可以从以下几方面去进行:
    (一)说教材(Content )
    英语课程标准(The National Standard of Curriculum States)是英语教材编写的依据,因此说教材即说英语课程标准(The National Standard of Curriculum States)。英语课程标准不仅能帮助英语教师明确教学必须达到的具体目标和标准以及基本内容的深度和广度,而且还能使教师更好地运用科学的教学原则和有效的教学方法,提高学生学习英语的主动性和自觉性,以达到标准所规定的教学目的和要求。因此,认真学习新课程标准,才能说准教材、领会教材中的有关概念的内涵和外延,并分析所教教材的逻辑关系,把握重难点。说教材前,首先应认真阅读教材和英语新课程标准,由鸿观到微观,说清本课在本单元的地位作用,本课教材的特点、重点和难点,如何安排分时,着重解决问题,如何突破难点,以前的知识和以后的知识如何联系和打伏笔。根据对以上教材内容的分析和小学生的年龄特点,就可以列出本课切实可行又可检测的教学目标(Teaching aims)了,应注意的是教学目标必须全面准确,它包含知识(knowledge)、技能(ability)、情感(emotion)等方面的目标。而且教学目标的陈述应从学生发展的角度去陈述,并要说明为什么这样制定。例如:The content of the teaching material I talk about is ... It comes from … Primary English of oxford. The students have learned …before. It’s good for them to learn the relative knowledge further. According to the National Standard of Curriculum States, English lessons is the procedure that the English learners acquire the language knowledge and the skills through the English learning and activities. So they can improve their ability to communicate in real situations. English lesson is also the procedure that English learners develop their ability to think and their characters. The content of this lesson is closed to the real life of the students. Let students know … Let students know how to … Considering the National Standard of Curriculum, the content of the lesson and the levels of the students I design the following teaching aims.
     Teaching aims
    1.       Aims on the knowledge: To enable the Ss to understand , say, read, and write: “...”  Make sure that Ss can use these sentences in real situations.
    2.       Aims on the abilities: To develop Ss’ abilities of listening and speaking. To train the Ss’ abilities of working in groups.
    3.       Aims on the emotion: To develop Ss’ interest in English.
    Important point:
    1.       To help the Ss ask and answer the questions: …
    2.       To enable the Ss to study in groups.
    3.       To develop the Ss’ interest in English.
    Difficult point
    To help the Ss ask and answer the questions “…” And make sure they can use these sentences in real situations. To help the Ss make sure they can use …correctly
    (二)、说教法学法 (Teaching methods and learning methods)
    教法是指授课者运用哪些教学手段,采用什么样的教学方法来完成教学内容的。学法是指授课教师在教学过程中教给学生学习的方法和策略。在说课过程中教法学法可以列出来单独讲,也可以渗透到教学步聚中讲,但一定要有理论依据,另外,值得注意的是教学手段和教法的运用都必须依据学校的设备条件、教材、学生的实际以及教师本人对器材的使用情况而定,不能为电而电教。罗列到许多电教手段,却华而不实。学法指导是以老师对学生提出要求的形式来体现的,学法指导要能调动学生积极思维,激发后进生学习兴趣,重在培养学生的能力。最终使学生实现由“学会”过渡到“会学”的质的飞跃。 例如:The main instructional aims of learning English in primary school is to cultivate pupils’ basic abilities of listening and speaking and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson I’ll mainly use “_________” teaching method. That is to say, I will ____________________to help the Ss to get a better understanding of the key structure of the dialogue. I will arrange ______ kinds of activities: _________________________. And in this lesson … will be needed. Students should prepare …
    (三)、说教学程序 (Teaching procedure)
    说课的对象是教师不是学生,所以说课时要说出每一具体教学步骤的做法,而且还要说明为什么要这样做,使听说课的教师不仅了解你是怎样上这节课的,更要了解你为什么要上这节课。说教学过程时要简明扼要,不必像上课一样,也不必面面俱到。只要讲清楚教学思路:即根据本节课的内容,课型及学生的年龄特点,依据标准及英语教学法中的哪些教学原则、设计出哪些教学环节。每一教学环节运用了什么样的教学手段、采用了什么样的教学方法,以达到什么样的教学目的,采用什么样的教学方法突破难点,理论依据是什么,及主要教学环节。教学设计的实施过程(Revision,   Presentation,    Drill,    Practice ,Consolidation and Homework)和关键问题的处理就行了。例如我以4BUnit 6为例谈谈:
    I’ll finish this lesson in five steps.
    Step 1 Warm-up
    I design two activities.
    Activity1. Free talk between T and Ss.  (To lead up to the topic, get Ss to warm up and arouse their interest in the topic.)
    Q1: How’s the weather like today?
    Q2: It’s sunny today. Let’s go to Shanghai. OK?
    Q3:But how do we go there? By bus or by train? (Listen to the loudspeaker’s sound of the bus.)
    Activity 2. Sing the song: ‘The wheels on the bus.’  (It is important to form a better English learning surrounding for the Ss by singing and doing some total physical response)
    Turn on the tape recorder. Invite the Ss to get on the bus and sing the song ‘The wheels on the bus.’
    Step 2 Presentation
    Now I’ll mainly talk about this step. I’ll design three activities.
    Activity1: Present the pattern “ a station, a library, a theatre, a hospital, an airport, by metro, by motorcycle, by minibus, on foot, Shall we go to …by …?” (To present the key structures one by one is much easier for the Ss to learn and grasp the meanings. Put themselves in Shanghai trip is much easier for the Ss to learn and grasp the meanings, too.)
    Go on step 1. Invite the Ss to go to Shanghai with me. Let the Ss learn in Shanghai trip. For example: Go to Shanghai library by minibus. Go to Shanghai theatre by motorcycle. Go to Shanghai hospital on foot. Go to Shanghai Station by metro. Go to Pudong airport by taxi. Go back to Suzhou by train. With the help of the CAI to present the pattern. Then lead the Ss to read them. Pay attention to the pronunciation of the words.
    Activity 2: Play a guessing game.  (CAI can provide a real situation for the Ss to understand the knowledge. It can arouse the Ss’ interest in English learning.)
    With the help of the CAI to present some photos of Nanjing theatre, Suzhou library, Suzhou station, Guanfu airport, Huarun supermarket, Mudu hospital. Let Ss guess. What place is it? How to go there.
    Step 3 Drill
    Activity 1: Look and say: (To develop Ss’ reading and speaking skill. Ss are encouraged to put themselves in the situation and make a face to face interview. )
    With the help of the CAI to present Part C. Invite a Ss to act the dialogue in Picture 1 with me.
       T: Shall we go to the supermarket by metro?
    B: All right.
    Then work in pairs. Talk about with Picture 2, 3 and 4. Invite some groups to report.
    Activity 2: Look and discuss (CAI can provide a real situation for the Ss to understand the dialogue. )
    With the help of the CAI to present some pictures of different places. For example: Suzhou zoo、Guanqian street、Suzhou garden、Beijing、Xinjiang、America、Japan. Encourage Ss to discuss in pairs, then report: How to go there?.
    Step 4. Practise
     Activity  Do a survey: How do you go to school? I go to school ...
